Low-E Glass
Low-emissivity coated glass for project-specific thermal, solar and daylight requirements.
For standalone glass orders and WINTENIC window and door projects.
Coating Types
Hard-Coat Low-E Glass
A pyrolytic coating is applied during glass manufacture. Processing requirements and suitability are confirmed for the selected coating product.
Soft-Coat Low-E Glass
A sputtered coating is applied after the glass has been manufactured. Handling, processing and protection of the coating are confirmed for the selected product and glazing build-up.
Both types have a surface coating. Available products and configurations are confirmed per project.
Selection Priorities
Thermal Insulation
Review the thermal performance of the specified glass build-up.
Solar Control
Select solar heat gain characteristics to suit the project’s climate, orientation and design requirements.
Daylight & Appearance
Consider visible light transmission, colour and reflectance together.
Specification Options
| Coating product / type | To be confirmed |
|---|---|
| Glass thickness | To be confirmed |
| Colour / appearance | To be confirmed |
| Glass build-up | Confirm per project |
| Processing requirements | Confirm per project |
| Performance data | To be confirmed |
Performance data must refer to the specified coating product, glass build-up and supporting report. Glass performance must not be presented as whole-window performance.
Use in Insulating Glass
Low-E glass can form part of an insulating glass specification. The coating position, pane arrangement, cavity and spacer system are confirmed together for the selected product.
Discuss Your Low-E Glass Requirements
Share your drawings, dimensions, quantities, preferred glass build-up and project destination. Include any thermal, solar-control or daylight requirements, and the selected WINTENIC window or door system where applicable.
